Cheap Trick By Chris Schmitt January 1, 2025 A Sold-out venue at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida was buzzing with anticipation. Rock and Roll Hall of fame inductees, Cheap Trick hit the stage and delivered an electrifying performance. The band did not disappoint those in attendance. Frontman Robin Zander clad in his signature White from head to toe, turned back time with his everlasting vocals, Rick Nielsen standing Infront of rows of checkerboard guitars, settling on a signature Gibson flying V, set the tone for the night with a masterful performance, Tom Petersson on Bass and Daxx Nielsen out back on drums, filled out this foursome, showing fans new and old, why they’ve stood the test of time, and are in the Hall of fame in Cleveland. Opening with the high-energy “Hello There,” they seamlessly transitioned into classics like “Elo Kiddies” and “I Want You to Want Me.” A standout moment was Robin Taylor Zander, son of lead vocalist Robin Zander, taking over lead vocals on “Downed,” showcasing the band’s multigenerational talent. The evening culminated with fan favorites “Surrender” and “Goodnight,” leaving the audience in awe of their enduring vitality and musicianship. Share It!
