Jay Skolnick

Jay Skolnick was a concert photographer in South Florida during the 70’s. After a long hiatus Skolnick returned when his good friend Al Poliak opened the Funky Biscuit in Boca Raton. His desire to capture live music fueled, Jay has served as the house photographer since its inception. The Biscuit gig led to a chance meeting with Jesse Finkelstein of Blues Radio International. As the “photographer of record” for BRI Jay has covered over 400 performance interviews with Jesse, of Blues artists including the legends and up & comers and everything in between. Every year They travel to Memphis to cover the Blues Music Awards (BMAs)

As a longtime contributor to SFL Music Magazine Jay and his brother Gary bought the magazine in Feb of 2019 and are The Publishers.
