#Keiferband Show Review

This round of the #Keiferband tour is bringing all that we know and love about these extraordinary musicians! On location at the Palace Theatre in Greensburg, PA, I had the opportunity to catch this latest show just prior to the band heading to Florida where they played in Lakeland at the Youkey Theater on June 11th, Jacksonville at the Florida Theatre on June 12th, and Dayton Beach at the Peabody Auditorium on June 13th.
LA Guns, consisting of Lead Vocalist Phil Lewis, Lead Guitarist Tracii Guns, Guitarist Ace Von Johnson, Bassist Johnny Martin, and Drummer Shawn Duncan started the night off taking the stage and immediately drawing in the enthusiastic audience. These amazing musicians brought out many fan favorites such as “Electric Gypsy”, “Over the Edge”, “Sex Action” and “Rip and Tear”. Tracii’s intro to songs were bits of licks from Warren DeMartini, Eddie Van Halen and Angus Young which the audience loved, expressing with loud cheers. His own incredible talents were of course revealed with his solos per hit songs. Phil has a new look wearing a blue plaid suit and tie, sporting short white hair which impressed fans per their comments, and went well with his classic stage performance, still capable of delivering strong vocals that rang through the theater. Phil utilized director skills when he brought in the audience to sing along with “The Ballad of Jayne” towards the end of their set, preparing fans for what was coming up.
Tom Keifer and his #Keiferband, comprised Vocalist/Songwriter/Guitarist Tom Keifer (of course), Vocalist/Songwriter Savannah Keifer, Guitarist Tony Higbee, Bassist Luis Espaillat, Drummer Jarred Pope, Keyboardist Kory Myers, and Vocalist Tanya Davis took the stage with “Night Songs” to a very enthusiastic audience. These outstanding musicians plunged into their catalogue with fan favorites like “The Death of Me” and “Coming Home” where Keifer displayed his strong vocal range and signature screams. Also well noted is Keifer’s bluesy guitar riffs which he played as an intro to “Nobody’s Fool”, followed by “Somebody Save Me” like it was 1986 all over again! When the piano was rolled out, fans went crazy with applause for “Don’t Know What You Got (Till It’s Gone) which Keifer played with his wife Savannah on the opposite side, singing with him, adding an amazing layer that truly enhanced the song. The party continued with “Shake Me” before the audience had a chance to be filmed by Keifer to commemorate the evening. When the band exited the stage and returned for the encore, Keifer showed his appreciation asking fans, “you want to keep it going?” The response was a standing, clapping and singing crowd to end the night with “Gypsy Road” before the band dropped to the floor, left their instruments, and another incredible memory of a #Keiferband rock show!
