She enjoyed writing poetry at a very young age and taught herself to play guitar by the age of 14. Now 27, she has matured and grown as an artist. The current tour experience could sell out in any theater on Broadway. Martinez auditioned for the third season of “The Voice” and made it all the way to the Top 6. Two years later she signed to Atlantic Records and released her Debut EP, “Dollhouse”. She hasn’t looked back since, with two more albums “Cry Baby” & “K-12” building a solid following. On the heels of the 2023 release “Portals,” she’s now embarking on her “Portals” Tour and is bringing her Theatrical Musical experience to a city near you. Coming to Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, her fans, previously known as “Cry Babies,” now going by “Eart hlings,” came out in force to support Melanie’s new rebirth as an artist, shedding her old image for her new ethereal four-eyed being persona. Melanie’s show is not only an audible experience & visual spectacle filled with choreographed dancing, but her show also transported us on a musical journey to a magical fantasy world. Her fans dressed in their best “Cry Baby and Enchanted Forest Fairies” ensembles, knew every word to every song, standing and singing in unison word for word.
