For our readers that are not familiar with his work, Stephen Richard Hackett is an English guitarist who gained prominence as the lead guitarist of the progressive rock band Genesis from 1971 to 1977. Hackett contributed to six Genesis studio albums, three live albums, seven singles and one EP before he left to pursue a solo career. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Genesis in 2010.
On March 1st, 2026 at Au-Rene Theater at The Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Steve Hackett took the stage.
The first set was an offering of Steve’s solo work, driving and progressive arrangements that kept the room engaged and thrilled to hear his unique style of performance. The second set consisted of Genesis songs Steve performed while with the band. At this point the room was in a roar. Steve Hackett delivered an entertaining night for concert goers.
