Brett Young | September 23, 2023, 8pm

Young has captured the hearts of fans everywhere with his honest lyrics and West Coast-meets-Southern sound, aptly dubbed “Caliville” style. With an impressive string of seven No. 1 hits – “In Case You Didn’t Know” (9X platinum), “Mercy” (4X platinum), “Sleep Without You” (2X platinum), “Like I Loved You” (2X platinum), “Here Tonight” (2X platinum), “Catch” (platinum) and “Lady” (platinum), he has cemented his status as a master of matters of the heart. Young was named ACM’s New Male Artist of the Year and ASCAP’s Country Songwriter-Artist of the Year for his “melodic craftsmanship” (Billboard) and garnered nominations from Billboard, Teen Choice, CMT and CMA Awards.

YES: Classic Tales of YES | October 8, 2023, 7:30pm

Formed in 1968 by Jon Anderson and the late, and much-missed, Chris Squire, YES has been one of the most innovative, influential, and best-loved bands in rock music history. Their 1970s albums The Yes Album, Fragile, Close to The Edge, Yessongs (a triple live album set), Tales From Topographic Oceans, Relayer and Going For The One were ground-breaking in musical style and content. Their music also became synonymous with artist Roger Dean whose distinctive YES logo design and artwork adorned the lavish gatefold presentation sleeves of many YES albums. With sales of over 50 million records, the Grammy-award winning YES was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2017, where they performed “Roundabout” from the album Fragile and the FM radio-friendly “Owner Of A Lonely Heart” from the 1985 album 90125.

Beach Boys | October 21, 2023, 7:30 pm

As The Beach Boys mark more than a half century of making music, the group continues to ride the crest of a wave unequalled in America’s musical history. Dozens of the band’s chart toppers have become eternal anthems of American youth, including “Surfin’ USA,” “Surfer Girl,” “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “Barbara Ann,” “Good Vibrations,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Rock and Roll Music” and “Kokomo.” The band has sold over 100 million records worldwide and has received more than 33 RIAA Platinum and Gold record awards. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers were also honored at the 2001 Grammy Awards with the Lifetime Achievement Award. With more than five decades of touring under their belts, The Beach Boys have performed more concerts than any major rock band in history. The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love, who, along with longtime member Bruce Johnston, musical director Scott Totten, Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill, Keith Hubacher and Randy Leago continue the legacy of the iconic band. This concert will not feature Brian Wilson, Al Jardine or David Marks.

Buddy Guy – Damn Right Farewell | October 22, 2023, 7pm

The title of Buddy Guy’s latest album says it all: The Blues Is Alive and Well. The legendary blues artist’s eighteenth solo LP and follow-up to 2015’s Born to Play Guitar showcases his raw and unadulterated sound, with its fifteen tracks a true pleasure for aficionados and genre newcomers alike. The record arrives on the heels of an era of high visibility for the 81-year-old performer. At the 2016 Grammys, he picked up a trophy for “Best Blues Album” honoring Born to Play Guitar, and that same year he hit the road for a U.S. tour, opening for Jeff Beck. In addition to bringing the house down at a recent sold-out performance commemorating the closing of New York City’s B.B. King’s Blues Club and Grill, he appeared on David Letterman’s Netflix talk show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. A truly timeless and energetic performer, The Blues Is Alive and Well is the latest triumph in an already-legendary career.

Blackberry Smoke: Live in Concert | November 9, 2023, 7pm

This American rock band, made up of Charlie Starr (vocals, guitar), Paul Jackson (guitar, vocals), Richard Turner (bass, vocals), Brit Turner (drums) and Brandon Still (keyboards), has become known for a singular sound indebted to classic rock, blues, country, and folk. Since their debut in 2004, the Atlanta-based band has independently released six full-length albums and toured relentlessly, building a strong and loyal community of fans. The band has also had unparalleled success with sales of each of their last albums. In 2015 they released Holding All the Roses, which was the first independently released record to hit #1 on the Billboard Country album charts in modern history. Like An Arrow followed in 2016, again putting them at #1. 2018 saw the band outsell all other releases with their self-produced Find a Light, and the acoustic accompaniment, The Southern Ground Sessions.

Dark Star Orchestra | December 8, 2023, 7 pm

Performing to critical acclaim for over 20 years and over 3000 shows, Dark Star Orchestra continues the Grateful Dead live concert experience. Their shows are built off the Dead’s extensive catalog and the talent of seven fine musicians. On any given night, the band will perform a show based on a set list from the Grateful Dead’s 30 years of extensive touring or use their catalog to program a unique set list for the show. Honoring both the band and the fans, DSO’s members seek out the unique style and sound of each era, while simultaneously offering their own informed improvisations. DSO has performed throughout the entire United States, including a sold-out debut at Colorado’s Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater, plus shows in Europe and the Caribbean, with the band touching down in seven different countries. DSO continues to grow its fan base by performing at major music festivals including Bonnaroo, Milwaukee’s SummerFest, The Peach Music Festival, Jam Cruise, Wanee Festival, SweetWater 420 Festival, Mountain Jam, and many more.

From the progressively sweeping splendor that is “The Grand Illusion” to the hunker-down fortitude of all that is the “Blue Collar Man,” from the majestic spiritual love for a special “Lady” to the seething indictment of preening, primping pageantry for pageantry’s sake of “Miss America,” from an individual yearning for true connection as a “Man in the Wilderness” to a soul-deep quest to achieve what’s at the heart of one’s personal vision in “Crystal Ball,” from the regal reach-for-the-stars bravado of “Come Sail Away” to the grainy all-in gallop of that rugged “Renegade” who had it made, the band draws on an unlimited cache of ways to immerse one’s mind and body in their signature sound.

Get The Led Out (GTLO) is a group of professional musicians who are passionate about their love of the music of Led Zeppelin. It’s been their mission to bring the studio recordings of “The Mighty Zep” to life on the big concert stage. This is not an impersonator act but rather a group of musicians who were fans first, striving to do justice to one of the greatest bands in rock history! From the bombastic and epic, to the folky and mystical, this band captures the essence of the recorded music of Led Zeppelin. No wigs or fake English accents, GTLO brings what the audience wants–a high energy Zeppelin concert with an honest, heart-thumping intensity. Dubbed by the media as “The American Led Zeppelin,” the group offers a strong focus on the early years. They also touch on the deeper cuts that were seldom, if ever, heard in concert. GTLO also includes a special acoustic set with Zep favorites such as “Tangerine” and “Hey, Hey, What Can I Do.”About the Pompano Beach Amphitheater

The Amp, North Broward’s 3,000 seat amphitheater, is located at 1806 NE 6th Street in Pompano Beach and features major concert performances and music-themed festivals on its breathtaking grounds which can accommodate an additional 7,000 patrons. Box office at The Amp is open on show days only but tickets may be purchased without additional service fees at Pompano Citi Centre location from 10am-6pm Monday-Friday, at 2001 N. Federal Highway, Suite 108, Pompano Beach, FL (corner of Federal Hwy and Copans Rd). Parking is free at the Community Park. Parking is also available at Pompano Beach High School for $10.
